01About the project
A neighbourhood mosque set on a tight corner plot, conceived around the idea of threshold. A continuous street-edge arcade and a patterned sahn order the arrival; shaded thresholds buffer the prayer hall from the city. Restrained white massing reads clearly in the surrounding fabric, while a slender freestanding minaret anchors the intersection as a local landmark. The prayer hall is given a quiet, monolithic character through soft-radius corners and a single linear roof lantern that controls daylight from above. Step-free access is integrated throughout.
The irregular corner site is resolved by a clear perimeter edge, an internal court, and a compact two-level prayer block connected to ancillary programmes by a glazed bridge. The composition maintains generous frontages while protecting the sacred interior from traffic and noise.
