01About the project
A boutique hotel on the Hay Al-Andalus coastal road, where the brief asked for a building that would be recognised at a distance along a crowded seafront. The façade is conceived as a lit frame: each guest room reads as a glazed bay set in deep reveals, alternating with copper-toned geometric screens and bands of deep red, so that at night the elevation becomes a lantern of individually glowing rooms. A canted red canopy draws the arrival off the road; the roof is given to a terrace with the sea in view. The hotel announces itself once, and then behaves.
